The nomination cited Dr Nguyen’s significant contribution to the development of an indigenous Vietnamese women’s psychology and the science of psychology more broadly in its ongoing efforts to shift toward a greater sensitivity to issues of cultural diversity and gender.

Lan’s research has been published in several prestigious international journals, including Applied Psychology: An International Review and the Journal of Humanistic Psychology.

Prior to pursuing an academic career, Lan was employed in multi-national and start-up organizations.
