June 6, 2022

On June 2, 2022, Fulbright University Vietnam signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) as an effort to strengthen the cooperative relationship with Wellspring International Bilingual School Hanoi. Accordingly, the two institutions agreed to collaborate and facilitate educational activities to (i) organize exchange and training programs for teachers and lecturers, (ii) engage and support students and parents, and (iii) pioneer educational development, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

As pioneering liberal art institutions in Vietnam, Wellspring and Fulbright together have realized a number of impactful projects, many among them were to introduce and promote Fulbright’s liberal arts undergraduate program. Over the years, Wellspring has always been an active partner to many of Fulbright-initiated teacher exchange and training programs, such as Pioneering Educators Network 2019 and 2020. This is the foundation for many strategic joint-effort programs to come.

According to the MOU, Wellspring teachers will be able to join training programs launched by Fulbright in a wide variety of areas ranging from professional development, curriculum design and development, teaching methods, skills, and approaches, to mental and physical health.

On the other hand, Fulbright University Vietnam will be able to reach out to a wider Wellspring student body, offering a vast number of learning experiences and training programs at Fulbright as well as at partner educational institutions.

In the foreseeable future, Fulbright and Wellspring will focus on establishing the interconnectedness of liberal arts education between K-12 and undergraduate programs. We hope that K-12 students can gain access to and take advantage of the learning experiences that Fulbright strives to advance,” said Ms. Dam Bich Thuy, President of Fulbright University Vietnam.

Talking about the opportunities that emerged thanks to the cooperative partnership, Ms. Le Tue Minh – Head of Wellspring International Bilingual School Hanoi declared a milestone for spreading educational values across the wider community: “Today’s MOU signing ceremony unlocks numerous opportunities for both institutions. The liberal arts model in K-12 education at Wellspring and undergraduate programs at Fulbright are being refined. Together as pioneering institutions, we will continue to strengthen our cooperative partnership to bring about new innovative and practical methods to help students master their own learning process even from K-12 years; while paving our ways to spread liberal arts education, independent learning, and creative learning across Vietnam to build the next generation of changemakers.”
