April 4th, 2020, Ho Chi Minh City. Fulbright University Vietnam signed a retainer letter with U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) to explore financing opportunities in support of the construction of Fulbright’s flagship campus on the 15-hectare site donated by the Vietnamese government in the center of Saigon High Tech Park. This retainer letter represents the first step to a long-term collaborative effort, as Fulbright and DFC work closely together to formalize a debt financing agreement.
As America’s development bank, DFC partners with the private sector to finance solutions to the most critical challenges facing the developing world today. DFC is committed to fostering a more prosperous Vietnam and Indo-Pacific region, including through investment in education. The U.S. – Vietnam bilateral relationship as well as the investment’s potential contribution to the development of Vietnamese education are key factors for DFC in considering the investment.
