FSPPM, NAPA sign MoU

On 9th October 2018, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Fulbright School of Public Policy and Management (FSPPM) and National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) was signed in Washington D.C., U.S.

This MOU with NAPA is an effort in the Fulbright School’s overall strategy to become an internationally recognized school of public policy and administration.

On behalf of NAPA, Dr. Terry Gerton, President & CEO of NAPA signed the MOU. The signing ceremony also received Major General Arnold Fields, Former Deputy Director of the Africa Center for Strategic Studies, U.S. Department of Defense; Randolph Lyon, NAPA’s Chief Financial Officer and Director of Development; Joseph P. Mitchell, III, NAPA’s Director of Academy Programs, and Kaitlyn M. Hudgins, NAPA’s Director of Fellow Engagement.

FSPPM representatives at the signing ceremony were Professor Terry Buss, member of FSPPM’s Advisory Board; Professor James Riedel, Emeritus Professor of Johns Hopkins University and FSPPM’s Senior Adjunct Faculty; Mr. Nguyen Quoc Dinh, MPP 8 student who is pursuing his Ph.D. of Public Policy at George Mason University.

The MOU signing between FUV/FSPPM and NAPA honorably received valuable support from Vietnam Embassy in U.S. with the attendance of Mr. Pham Hung Tam, Minister, Deputy Chief of Mission.

At the ceremony, Mr. Pham Hung Tam, a representative from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vietnam expressed his joy at the MOU signing and belief that the MOU will open up valuable opportunities for bilateral relationship between Vietnam and U.S. and allow Vietnam to approach modern knowledge in public administration and management which essentially and effectively contribute to Vietnam public administration reform efforts.
