See the world like a Diplomat: A firechat with Mark Kent on winning friends and delivering partnerships

It is our privilege to announce that H.E. Mr. Mark Kent, the former Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Vietnam 2007- 2010, is embarking on a special trip back to Vietnam to reconnect with old friends, start new friendships, and get in touch with a fast-changing Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.

During his trip, he would love to connect with the Fulbright community and those who are interested in international affairs and diplomacy. In the fireside chat at Fulbright, he invites you to his journey across Mexico, Brazil, Belgium, Vietnam, Thailand, and Argentina with his efforts in establishing people-to-people connections, fostering trust, and promoting multicultural diplomatic and trade partnerships.

As the Ambassador overseeing the development of the Strategic Partnership between the UK and Vietnam over a decade ago, Mr. Kent is particularly looking forward to meeting with young and aspiring Vietnamese students who will play a crucial role in determining Vietnam’s future and its foreign relations position. He is keen to listen to their thoughts and engage in meaningful conversations with them.
