The Demo Class is part of admission events of Fulbright School of Public Policy and Management’s Master of Public Policy program of 2021-2023 (MPP2023), aiming to provide applicants with experiences of real lessons in policy analysis and open academic space at FSPPM.
Following the first demo class on Micro Economics, the second demo class will give applicants the opportunity to learn an important pillar in policymaking: governance and law. In the context of Covid-19 pandemic, the aspect of governance is especially important, as it shows the way the government implements its policies effectively while ensuring that all decisions take into account the aspects of equality and fairness and protect the basic rights of the people in time of a crisis.

Along with the efforts to buy vaccines and implement vaccination programs, the government encourages people to install a number of coronavirus contact-tracing apps such as Bluezone, NCOVI, Vietnam Health Declaration (VHD) on their smartphones. Civil liberties, privacy, and personal data need to be protected, but they can be restricted in the context of the pandemic.
From a case study (Ministry of Health’s Decision 2666), the demo class allows applicants to discuss the legal aspects of protecting personal freedom and privacy of personal data in the digital age.
❗ Attention: The class is only accessible to MPP2023 applicants with open applications. Applicants will be provided with the case study and discussion suggestions before attending this class.

Fulbright School of Public Policy and Management (Fulbright University Vietnam) is now calling for applications for Master of Public Policy program of 2021-2023 (MPP2023).
