Born and raised in a traditional Vietnamese family, Trang once believed that her dream profession should be stable through life, well-defined in a limited list of jobs like doctors, teachers and accountants. She enrolled in Accounting major following her parents’ advice and luckily graduated with a Marketing degree. Even after graduation, career orientation was a strange idea to her. Her conflicts in interests, dreams and expectations seemed unmatchable and unstoppable, especially with many “advice”. She jumped from local business, philanthropy to corporates; from logistics, psychology to education. She eventually understands the causes of her distress when taking her training in career guidance.
For most, career path is not a linear way that links a major to a job but rather an unexpected, lifelong journey. Trang trusts that career’s purpose is much more than having decent titles in CV but the confidence to grow professionally and personally. Trang joins Fulbright with excitement to exchange knowledge, to support students finding their careers autonomy in this VUCA era.
Trang graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) from RMIT and earned her Psychology Graduate Diploma from Northumbria University. Prior to Fulbright, Trang served numerous positions and projects in private sectors, nonprofit, family business and higher education institutes. Her most interested topics are vulnerability, connection and balance.
Trang finds joy in walking, yoga, meditation, movie binge, gouache and charcoal paintings. She can be found with big laugh playing board games and eating homemade foods with friends
