Wellness Counselor

avatar

Cam is a wellness counselor at Fulbright Wellness Center. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Minnesota and her Master of Counselling from Monash University. Cam currently is a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).

Prior to Fulbright, Cam spent 3 years working in primary and secondary education in Vietnam. Throughout this time, she observed a notable rise in anxiety, depression, loneliness, and academic or career pressure among young individuals. This experience heightened Cam’s awareness of the pressing need for psychological support for Vietnamese youth and inspired her commitment to promoting their well-being.

Cam integrates various evidence-based therapeutic approaches into her practice, with an emphasis on client-centered, strength-based intervention, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). In her role, she strives to create a safe and welcoming environment where her clients can feel comfortable exploring and processing their concerns, thoughts, and emotions. Ultimately, Cam hopes that counseling will bring her clients new perspectives on their current challenges and the necessary resources to help them carry out the changes they seek in their life.
