Hoa graduated from Randolph College, a liberal arts college in the USA, with a double major in Economics and Business. During her time there, Hoa was given various opportunities for self-exploration and personal growth: She took her very first art class in her freshman year and uncovered her ability to draw and paint, which she had never thought she could previously. With support from Randolph’s RISE  Grant, she went to volunteer in Haiti, a third-world country in the Caribbean, spending days growing coffee and renovating a regional hospital with local residents. She learned to have the courage to try new things and challenge herself, to cultivate an open mindset, and to be willing to take action and make changes when needed.

Prior to working at Fulbright University, Hoa worked at different NGOs and IGOs such as Operation Smile Vietnam and International Labor Organization and then started her career in education as an independent educational consultant at PAC Group, providing college admission counseling and career advising to high school students. The valuable experience and lessons gained from her four years in college have enabled Hoa to make smooth transitions between jobs. Understanding the benefits that liberal arts education has brought to her, Hoa hopes to embrace its values at Fulbright.
