Bio:

Dr. Anh Nguyen-Duc researches and teaches software engineering, focusing on human, processes, and ecosystem aspects of software development. He received his MS at Technical University of Kaiserslautern and Blekinge Institute of Technology (a double degree), his Ph.D. from Norwegian University of Science and Technology. He works as Full Professor at University of South-Eastern Norway and Norwegian University of Science and Technology. He also has various positions as visiting scholar at well-known Norwegian, Finnish, Italian, and Vietnamese universities.

Prof. Nguyen-Duc has more than 100 peer-reviewed publications in high-ranked journals, conferences, and workshops in software engineering field. His recent research has focused on distinguishing and updating software engineering processes and practices in the context of startups, which has opened up a new subfield within empirical software engineering that intersects with entrepreneurship research. He has six edited books on business, startups and software engineering. He serves as a chair of 10 organization committees, and 30+ program committees. Prof. Nguyen-Duc participates in several international and national research projects, some of them include Building competencies for competitive companies (EU Interreg project value of 4,2 mil. Eur), Internet trend and Machine Learning in Email Phishing detection (Norwegian Research Council, value of 40.000 Eur) and Implementing and Tracking  SDGs in Entrepreneurial Projects (internal project, value of 520.000 Eur). He is awarded as top 500 Norwegian researchers in all fields from 2017 to 2020.
