Sơn is passionate about sports, especially soccer and badminton. The team-work aspect, the self-challenging nature and the victorious moments of these sports make them appeal to Sơn.
Sơn holds an MPP from Fulbright Economics Teaching Program (FETP), the predecessor of the current Fulbright School of Public Policy and Management (FSPPM).
