Phuong graduated from University of Massachusetts Amherst with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Prior to joining Fulbright University Vietnam, Phuong worked for several non-profit organizations as a Project Coordinator, specialized in hypertension prevention programs and USAID-funded HIV/AIDS intervention initiatives focusing on marginalized communities. These significant experiences strengthened her beliefs in the power of education in shaping and transforming lives, which later motivated her to pursue a career in student development.
At Fulbright, Phuong strives to support the educational mission of the University to educate the whole person and put student learning at the heart of the work in Residence Life. Phuong’s passion areas include diversity, mental health, and community development.
