On February 26, Fulbright University Vietnam and Young Marketers have officially launched the second rendition of the course entitled “Marketing Foundation for the Next Vietnamese Change-Makers”, with the new 8 students (Gen 2) being rigorously selected through multiple rounds of tests and assessment.

Young Marketers is not only an “academic playground” for young marketing enthusiasts across Vietnam, but it is also a professional and methodical training program designed by dedicated practitioners. With its mission statement: “Building the next purposeful marketing leaders”, since 2013, Young Marketers has significantly influenced young people’s approach to marketing, nurturing professional, compassionate, and transformative practice as its core values.

After 9 years of development, Young Marketers has now reached a new milestone by collaborating with Fulbright University Vietnam and bringing a part of the “Young Marketers Elite Development Program” to Fulbright. This course is designed specifically for undergraduate students of Fulbright to help equip them with foundational knowledge and practical experience, which will be valuable assets for them in becoming the next changemakers of Vietnam. This also aligns perfectly with Fulbright’s educational mission.

The three-month long course “Marketing Foundation for Vietnamese Change-makers | Season 2” is designed to cover foundational topics. In this second season, students will have the opportunity to participate in special sharing sessions with professionals in diverse fields of Future Impact Academy – a #ProudlyMadeinVietnam initiative to create and promote dialogues with world experts about global issues while still deeply rooted in the Vietnamese context. These sharing sessions offer new perspectives, spread messages of kindness and empathy, which will in turn nurture students for a better future of Vietnam and the world.

The MOU signing ceremony took place at Fulbright University Vietnam with the participation of both parties and 15 students from the first and second season.

At the course launching event, Ms. Pham Nha Uyen, CEO of Provence Vietnam and former Head of Marketing, Coca-Cola Indochina, said: “Marketing basics, practical case studies and market frameworks are not the end goal of the course. Rather, we hope that Fulbright students will have the opportunity to really explore this major, to shape their future career path, and to be able to answer the question of whether marketing is the right career for them.”

Dr. Tran Vinh Linh, Acting Director of the Undergraduate Program at Fulbright University Vietnam, also had a few words to share with the students: “Congratulations to you, Gen 1, on completing the course, and from there, you can better shape a career that is suitable for you. Thank you for your active participation in various organizations and businesses in the last season. And congratulations to Gen 2 for this wonderful opportunity to explore the program, and we trust you will continue the success of Gen 1.”

Nguyen Lam Thu An, a student at Fulbright University Vietnam (Class of 2024), represented Gen 1 to share her feelings after receiving the certificate: “Thanks to the course, I had the opportunity to befriend with students from many different backgrounds at Fulbright. We became closer through group projects and case competitions, where we got to put theories we learn into practice. We wish you [the organizers and lecturers] a lot of health to continue on the journey to fulfill this beautiful mission, and we wish you [Gen 2] will enjoy the lessons and memories with the program.”
