Shiyan Koh on Her Entrepreneurship Journey

September 12, 2019, 17:15 – 18:15, 105 Ton Dat Tien, Tan Phu Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

What does it really take to be a successful entrepreneur? For Shiyan Koh, it is vision, leadership… and a whole lot of hustle.

Shiyan will be sharing about her journey back to Singapore to build Southeast Asia’s entrepreneurial ecosystem through venture capital initiatives, having spent 5 years prior building NerdWallet from the ground up in Silicon Valley.  Shiyan has previously worked at Bridgewater Associates, Institutional Venture Partners, and JPMorgan.

She earned her Bachelor’s in Economics and Biomechanical Engineering from Stanford in 2004 and her Master’s in Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 2011.

As a friend of Fulbright’s CEI, Shiyan will be hosting office hours the week following the session. Shiyan is also planning to build a Scout program in Vietnam, and is looking for university students who are interested in getting real-world experience in deal-sourcing — an opportunity not to be missed!

This event is open to high school and university students.

Please register for the event at http://bit.ly/shiyanfulbright by 5pm on Tuesday, Sept 10.

Due to limited capacity, places will be offered on a first come, first served basis — so do sign-up quickly! We will send an official invitation via e-mail  on Wednesday, Sept 11, if your place is confirmed.
