Trang Duong and Victor Wang, Co-Founders of Penta Prosthetics, will present at 3 PM on Wednesday, 19 December 2018 to discuss their startup.
Penta works to collect used prostheses in order to bring high quality, low cost prosthetic care to amputees in Vietnam.
Using partnerships with organizations that share their mission to empower amputees around the world, Penta is able to collect the unused prostheses that build up in homes and clinics in the U.S. and bring them to patients in need in Vietnam. In doing so, Penta sorts out excess inventory, diverts medical waste to where it is needed, and raises awareness in the amputee community about the millions of people around the world who could benefit from receiving a used device today.
They have been recognized by the Clinton Global Initiative, U.S. Forbes 30 under 30, Brown University’s center for social innovation, and Yale University’s entrepreneurial institute, among others.
Their discussion will cover entrepreneurship, engineering, social impact, and healthcare.
