The Offices of Admissions at Fulbright University Vietnam and Dickinson College, Pennsylvania, USA, are pleased to launch the ‘Building A Brighter Future’ essay writing competition, currently open to receive entries.
Last weekend, the competition’s organizing committee hosted two webinars on ‘College Essay Writing in English’, attended by hundreds of pre-registered participants across Vietnam. We sincerely hope that everyone has received insightful tips and useful advice, and wish you good luck in the competition.

📌 Eligibility:
Vietnamese high school seniors (Grade 12 or Grade 13 for UK system) or students who have graduated from high schools and are looking for college options.
📝Requirements:
Every participant in this competition must write an individual essay in response to the following prompt:
“We currently face numerous local, regional, and global challenges; and in these difficult times, we can see how important the work of your generation will be to secure a better and more sustainable future for our society and world. Share in 250-500 words what motivates you to create a brighter future amid the challenges of our present moment.”
– Required length: 250-500 words
– All entries must be written in English.
– Submission deadline: 17 October 2021

– First prize: 1 first prize valued at VND9,000,000, which includes an ELSA Speak Pro voucher (lifetime subscription), a Duolingo English Test voucher, a Grab service voucher of about VND2,200,000VND(*), Dickinson application fee waiver voucher, online demo class at Fulbright, as well as a Treasure Box with awesome swag items and certificate from both universities.
