Introduction

This course introduces students to the major theories of economic growth and development and their applications in the context of globalization. Students will learn the models that economists use to study economic growth, trade, migration, and cross-border investment and whether their predictions manifest themselves in practice. Students will develop both abstract theorizing and data analysis skills by interacting with the current body of theoretical and empirical research.
