Introduction

This course introduces students to the fundamental intuitions of causal inference and the associated econometrics toolkit. Students will develop their abilities to understand causal relationships and evaluate such relationships between economic variables using data and econometric software. Illustrative examples from policymaking, business, academic research, and daily life will inform and motivate theoretical questions in the course. The skills obtained in this course prepare students for careers in data analysis as well as empirical work in academic research.
