Hà Giang is a member of Fulbright University Vietnam’s Class of 2025 and is well-known among young audiences as a studygrammer @Hoshiki_jj with over 60,000 Instagram followers. On this platform, Giang shares her learning experiences, her journey to Fulbright, and study tips with students. As a Psychology major, she hopes to use her knowledge and experiences at Fulbright to give back to the community. Notably, she is working on projects about school bullying, a psychological trauma she personally endured, to help current students.

Finding a Field That Aligns with Passion, Strengths, and Community Impact

Hà Giang has a deep love for the arts. Initially, she intended to pursue Art Studies and Communications upon entering Fulbright. However, after two years of exploratory courses, Giang pivoted to a new field. “Although I love art, it’s not my strong suit. At Fulbright, I had the opportunity to explore different disciplines. That’s how I discovered Psychology—a field that combines my passion, strengths, and desire to create positive social impact,” Giang shared.

Reflecting on her time as a victim of school bullying, Giang revealed that the experience had significantly impacted her mental health, self-esteem, and academic performance. Choosing Psychology was her first step toward addressing the issue of school bullying that she once faced.

Building a Strong Knowledge Foundation for International Academic Opportunities

Fulbright’s Psychology program has helped Hà Giang unravel many curiosities about neuropsychology, particularly in areas like Clinical Psychology and Abnormal Psychology.

One highlight of Giang’s academic journey at Fulbright is her development of robust research skills and an ability to access reliable sources. Recently, she was successfully admitted as a member of the Asian Neuropsychological Association and has had opportunities to participate in research projects at the University of Sydney.

Her first research opportunity came through a Ph.D. researcher at the Brain and Mind Centre, University of Sydney, Australia. Giang showcased her analytical skills, critical thinking, and ability to interpret academic materials through assignments from her Fulbright classes. Additionally, she expressed her eagerness and commitment to learning in a sincere email, demonstrating her proactive approach to seeking opportunities and her dedication to creating societal value.

Creating Social Impact Through Community Projects

Beyond her studies, Hà Giang is a studygrammer who inspires her community by sharing content related to learning, self-study, research, and study tips. She frequently leverages resources and materials from Fulbright to provide insights and lessons to students. Giang also created a community messaging group where she regularly shares moments from her Fulbright classes, useful study resources, and psychology opportunities to inspire others.

Currently, Giang is leading “Dám” (“Dare”), a project focused on studying interventions for school bullying. Together with her team, Giang researches global practices to adapt, evaluate, and design solutions specific to Vietnam. At “Dám”, she prioritizes academic rigor, applying her research skills gained at Fulbright to guide her team in crafting high-quality, scholarly content.

Let’s join Fulbright University Vietnam in wishing Hà Giang great success on her upcoming journey!
