Khánh Nam, a talented student from the Class of 2027 at Fulbright University Vietnam, has left a deep impression on audiences through her emotional performances on stage.

Two major plays by the Fulbright Theater Club, “Màu Đen Trong Đêm” (The Blackness of Night) and “Lung Linh Vụn Vỡ” (Shimmering Fragments) have witnessed Khánh Nam’s brilliance. In just one week, the two plays attracted a large audience and sold out over 200 seats. The profits from these two plays were donated by the CIDO Charity Club and Event Hub to carry out volunteer trips, improving learning conditions for students in disadvantaged areas.

The art of theater has taught Khánh Nam how to express feelings, appreciate the emotional spectrum in herself and those around her. “The most meaningful thing I’ve learned from theater is how to empathize with people — to empathize with life, the fate of those who have gone from reality, through pages, words, and to the stage. Embarking on the character is my way of expressing respect and sympathy to people from different circumstances,” Khánh Nam shared.

The Fulbright Theater Club is also a place where the value of trust is emphasized, as each play is the result of effort and trust between members. Khánh Nam affirms that this is a safe space to nurture a soul that resonates with art. Not stopping at the theater stage, she has recently shown her artistic talent in the music night “Về trong vòng tay mẹ” (Returning to Mother’s Arms).

Besides her great passion for art, Khánh Nam is also an outstanding Economics student. She has skillfully balanced her studies and her passion for the stage, finding a wonderful connection between two seemingly opposite fields. “Studying Economics helps me hone analytical thinking in acting, while acting sparks creativity in how I approach Economics. Two seemingly opposite fields complement each other a lot,” Khánh Nam said.
