Nguyen Dang Minh Quan (also known as Sid) is a recent graduate in Computer Science from the Class of 2025 at Fulbright University Vietnam. He is currently working as a Junior AI Engineer at Reforged Labs, a cutting-edge AI technology startup backed by Y Combinator, one of Silicon Valley’s most prestigious venture capital accelerators. Reforged Labs specializes in developing AI-powered marketing solutions, with a strong focus on the gaming industry.
After graduation, instead of pursuing graduate studies right away, Quan chose to enter the workforce. He shared that he wanted to gain real-world experience and challenge himself in a professional tech environment first. That opportunity came quite unexpectedly at a Career Fair hosted by Fulbright, where he met Mr. Robert Huynh, CEO of Reforged Labs.

Initially, Quan planned to join the company as a Data Annotator to fulfill the requirements of Fulbright’s Experiential Learning Program (ELP) – a credit-bearing initiative designed to provide students with hands-on, practical learning experiences in real-world settings. However, encouraged by his sister, he decided to apply for an internship with the company’s AI team instead. To his surprise, he was accepted – and later, offered a full-time position.

Despite starting his journey in Computer Science later than most of his classmates, Quan never saw that as a disadvantage. On the contrary, he made the most of what Fulbright had to offer: in-depth coursework, technology competitions, and the dedicated support of faculty members. Every opportunity became a stepping stone for his personal and professional growth. Alongside his professors, Quan credits his peers – whom he calls “a great source of inspiration” – for continuously motivating each other to learn, grow, and push boundaries together.

Although Quan began pursuing Computer Science later than most of his peers, he never saw it as a setback. With the support of his professors and friends, every opportunity at Fulbright became a springboard for his remarkable growth.
Quan’s efforts and passion for learning have not gone unnoticed. In an article published by Dan Tri, a major Vietnamese newspaper, Reforged Labs’ CEO Robert Huynh highlighted Quan as one of the company’s standout young talents. “Our two young team members, Yen Nhi and Minh Quan, both graduates from Fulbright University Vietnam, have demonstrated exceptional capability and a strong willingness to learn,” he shared.
Today, while continuing his work at Reforged Labs, Quan still nurtures a deep love for learning – and hopes to return to academia in the future. For now, he is fully embracing this exciting chapter, contributing to the development of AI technologies, and growing each day with curiosity, drive, and purpose.
