On September 22, 2025, Fulbright University Vietnam officially marked the launch of the Fulbright Artificial Intelligence (AI) Institute with its very first seminar: From Big Data to Cellular Insight: Harnessing AI in Biology, delivered by Dr. Linh Huynh.
The event brought together faculty and students to celebrate this milestone and to dive into cutting-edge research at the intersection of AI and biology. Dr. Huynh’s talk showcased how recent advances in AI, particularly large language models, can unlock new pathways for decoding and predicting cellular responses—paving the way for breakthroughs in health and biotechnology.
The Fulbright AI Institute is a bold new initiative to shape Vietnam’s leadership in artificial intelligence through teaching, research, and thought leadership. Led by Dr. Le Quan, faculty member in Human-Centered Engineering at Fulbright, and advised by top AI scientists like Dr. Le Viet Quoc (Google DeepMind), the Institute is developing a new AI academic program and supporting faculty research in areas such as intelligent robotics and AI applications in complex biological systems.
Supported by a partnership with Google, the Fulbright AI Institute will also drive national conversations on the opportunities and challenges AI presents for Vietnam.
This seminar is just the beginning—stay tuned for more inspiring talks, research highlights, and collaborative opportunities from Fulbright AI Institute.
