Fulbright University Vietnam is proud to announce a new partnership with the International College of Innovation (ICI) at National Chengchi University (NCCU) in Taiwan. Under this agreement, each semester, two Fulbright University Vietnam students will study at NCCU, while Fulbright will welcome two students from ICI—creating opportunities for academic exchange, international exposure, and the expansion of personal networks and career pathways. The exchange program will officially commence in the fall of 2026.
Founded in 2018, ICI at NCCU is Taiwan’s first college to offer an all-English, interdisciplinary education in Global Studies. Its mission is to cultivate globally engaged citizens and innovative leaders equipped to tackle critical global challenges akin to the mission of Fulbright University Vietnam.
Students at ICI earn a Bachelor’s degree in Global Studies with a concentration in one of three tracks:
- Global Governance
- Sustainability and Society
- Data Analytics
As part of this program, Fulbright students can benefit from courses not only at ICI but across the entire university. Hereby NCCU offers student the opportunity to choose from a wide range of English-taught classes in social sciences, business, international affairs, computer science, and many more. Participants will enjoy full access to academic resources, excellent campus facilities, and faculty mentorship—immersing themselves fully in NCCU’s vibrant academic and social life.
Dr. Tobias Burgers, Fulbright faculty champion of this program, shares: As someone who studied and researched at NCCU, I am delighted we can offer this opportunity to students. ICI offers a multidisciplinary program that focuses on many of the core issues of our time and is therefore highly relevant. Nestled in the lush mountains and teal fields in southern Taipei, this study opportunity provides both an excellent educational opportunity, as well as once in a lifetime chance to explore Taipei, Taiwan, its open culture, engaging society and stunning nature. Apply and explore!
Beyond academics, Taiwan offers a safe, welcoming, and affordable environment for international students. With world-class education, vibrant local culture, and stunning landscapes—from mountains and hot springs to coastal views and dynamic cities like Taipei—Taiwan provides a uniquely enriching study experience.
This collaboration opens new horizons for Fulbright students to engage in cross-cultural learning, regional understanding, and innovative global thinking—core values that define the mission of Fulbright University Vietnam.
