On March 18, Suave Smurfs proudly secured a spot in the top 4 teams advancing to the Champion Round of the HSBC Business Case Competition (BCC) 2025!
HSBC BCC 2025 is a prestigious competition that challenges university students to analyze and solve real-world business cases developed annually by HSBC. The competition aims to enhance critical thinking, teamwork, and presentation skills. It brings together talented students from 48 universities across Hanoi, Hue, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City, with a panel of judges comprising leading industry experts.
Suave Smurfs consists of four students from diverse academic backgrounds:
- Tăng Linh Trang – Class of 2025, majoring in Economics and Psychology
- Phùng Hữu Nguyên – Class of 2026, majoring in Economics
- Nguyễn Thị Thanh Mai – Class of 2026, majoring in Economics and Human-Centered Engineering
- Vũ Đình Thiên – Class of 2026, majoring in Social Studies and Vietnamese Studies
With their interdisciplinary strengths, each Suave Smurfs member brings a unique perspective, allowing the team to tackle business challenges from multiple angles—ranging from economic analysis and strategic thinking to social and human-centered insights. “Through each stage of the competition, we’ve built strong connections. Solving a business case is like assembling a puzzle—each of us contributes a piece, and together, we create a complete and well-structured solution,” shared team leader Hữu Nguyên.
Throughout their three-month journey in the competition, Suave Smurfs has received continuous support from the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Fulbright, benefiting from in-depth coaching sessions and valuable advice from past participants.
