On December 7, five students—Dan Khue, Gia Hieu, Thanh Tung, Xuan Quang, and Nam Anh—competed in the finals of the Convergence Innovation Competition Asia (CIC) 2024 hosted in Taipei, Taiwan.

Competing against teams from China, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Thailand, BurnUp demonstrated excellence and secured the runner-up prize in this year’s competition.

The team developed a solution to protect motorcycle engines from rain and flooding. Their initiative aligns with three United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure; Good Health and Well-being; and Sustainable Cities and Communities.

Throughout the competition, the BurnUp team received valuable guidance from Dr. Truong Trung Kien, Chair of Human-Centered Engineering, and the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI) team at Fulbright.

Once again, congratulations to BurnUp and the Human-Centered Engineering faculty.
