Why is education on national identity increasingly important for young people in the era of global integration?

In the technology-driven era of constant information flow, young Vietnamese need to equip themselves with foreign language skills, technological proficiency, and a strong foundation in national identity to “integrate without losing their roots.” Fulbright University Vietnam, with its liberal arts philosophy, emphasizes training students to be responsible citizens for both the nation and the world.

Through interdisciplinary courses in Vietnam Studies, such as National History and Interdisciplinary Economics, combined with field trips, Fulbright enables students to explore global knowledge while deepening their understanding of Vietnam’s history and society. Stories like that of Trần Bạch Khánh Chi—a Class of 2025 student and one of Vietnam’s representatives at the Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP)—illustrate how the younger generation confidently steps into the world while spreading the essence of Vietnamese identity.
