Tuyet Phan

Life is a journey with many unexpected turns, and sometimes the destination is not the same as our initial choice. The journey of Tuyet Phan – currently holding the role of Student Engagement Manager at Fulbright University Vietnam – is a lively proof of that.

A former professional athlete, Tuyet stepped off the Football field to choose the path of studying English Language at Hong Bang University. After graduating, she worked at many corporate companies with different office roles. However, the desk was not big enough to contain the passion and energy that she was used to bringing to the exciting, fiery competitions in Vietnam and abroad.

An unexpected opportunity opened another door: nearly 10 years of working with RMIT Vietnam in the role of managing student clubs and developing sports and recreation activities, her true passion was ignited, it is to accompany students, to awaken their abilities and to connect the community in an educational environment. Tuyet Phan always believes that experiences, both successes and failures, are valuable lessons. It is this spirit of eagerness to learn from reality that has become the luggage for her to continue her journey at Fulbright University Vietnam. In her current position, Tuyet Phan hopes to use her life and career experiences to help students cultivate soft skills, practice life skills and social skills – indispensable luggage for them to be steadfast on the road ahead.
