Minh Hiếu – The pursuit of a “three-legged stool” in Marketing

Amid the busyness of his final year at university, Minh Hiếu (Class of 2025, majoring in Economics) has stayed committed to three major goals he calls his “three pillars”: career, learning, and giving back.

Hiếu was selected as one of only seven candidates out of thousands of applicants (aged 18–25) in Young Marketers 2025, earning a place in the prestigious Young Marketer Elite Program — a year-long journey to master marketing fundamentals under the mentorship of leading CMOs and Directors. For Hiếu, this is a precious opportunity to not only learn technical skills but also to experience marketing as a meaningful, value-driven journey.

Minh Hieu was one of the 7 finalists selected for the Young Marketers Season 12+1 competition, surpassing over 1000 candidates nationwide (including both students and working professionals).

At the same time, this young student joined Unilever Vietnam and, after just over 1.5 months of internship, was offered a position as a Marketing Ufresh, currently managing two major brands, Dove and Sunsilk.

Despite his packed schedule, Hiếu remained committed to completing his studies and final capstone project titled “The Economic Impact of Upskilling Informal Training on Entry-level Marketer Performance,” under the supervision of Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hoàng Lan – Faculty member in Economics. Choosing to undertake a research project instead of a standard coursework path, Hiếu sees this as a heartfelt preparation for his longer-term dream: supporting younger students in navigating their own marketing journeys.

“Marketing to me is about human — inspiring, reminding, and visualizing a better life that customers have always aspired to.”With this mindset, no matter the position, Hiếu has consistently emerged himself to perform even the smallest tasks with integrity and wholehearted passion.

“Even though these milestones may not seem grand, I’m deeply grateful that my journey with Marketing continues to unfold. My four years at Fulbright University Vietnam have instilled in me the spirit of perseverance, adaptability, and constant growth along the way,” Hiếu shared.
