  We are Fulbright University Vietnam, Vietnam’s first independent, non-profit, liberal arts, sciences and engineering university.   We are creating Fulbright University Vietnam’s flagship undergraduate program: a 21st century liberal arts education that spans engineering, arts and letters, and the sciences.  Fulbright’s undergraduate program is currently in its first year of operation, with a founding class of 115 students. The program is being developed with a spirit of “co-design,” where teams of faculty, staff and students enhance features of the university in processes of user-centered design.

We are particularly seeking applicants with the disciplinary backgrounds listed below, but will consider all qualified applicants.

  • Art & Media Studies: candidates with background in Media and Communications Studies with Regional Expertise in Southeast Asia.
  • Literature: candidates with background in Literary Studies with an emphasis on Vietnamese and Asian literature.
  • Vietnamese Studies: candidates with background in Education, Cultural Studies with a strong background in Vietnam.
  • Economics: candidates with background in Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Finance, and Political Economy.
  • Social Sciences: candidates with background in Anthropology, Sociology, or Political Science with a regional expertise in Southeast Asia.
  • Psychology: candidates with background in Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, Clinical Psychology (licensed preferred) or Cognitive Psychology.
  • History: candidates with background in Modern East Asian history with an emphasis on modern China whose research emphasizes connections between East Asia and Southeast Asia and Vietnam in particular.
  • Integrated Sciences: candidates with computational background and expertise in one or more of the following areas: Physics/Materials Science/Biology (bioinformatics)/Chemistry
  • Mathematics: candidates with background in Applied Mathematics with emphasis on Financial Mathematics, Applied Probability and Statistics, Engineering Mathematics.
  • Computer Science: candidates with a background in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or Data Science.
  • Engineering: candidates with background in an engineering systems-related field, with priority is following fields: Electrical and Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, and Robotics.

• Faculty Position, Fulbright School of Public Policy and Management

  Fulbright University Vietnam seeks applications for a faculty position in the Fulbright School of Public Policy and Management (FSPPM). Preference will be given to applicants in the following categories: Leadership, Negotiation and Strategic Management.

  FSPPM faculty will be in charge of not only teaching activities to manage the development of the course framework, materials, lecture the courses, supervise students’ theses, but also other nonteaching, research and outreach activities as assigned by the Director of MPP and the Dean of FSPPM.

• Faculty in Technology and Innovation, YSEALI Academy

  Fulbright University Vietnam is seeking applications for one faculty position in the YSEALI Academy. Preference will be given to applicants in the field of technology & innovation.

  In close cooperation with the United States Department of State, YSEALI Academy faculty will develop seminar topics for YSEALI Academy at Fulbright that(1) address pressing regional challenges, (2) are highly relevant and attractive to young professionals, (3) align with the three themes on public policy, technology & innovation, entrepreneurship, (4) collaborate with existing Fulbright faculty expertise as well as expertise from American and ASEAN institutional partners to develop innovative curricula and cutting-edge teaching methods for delivery at the seminars, and (5) are conducive to digital delivery in case of contingency.

• Chief Financial Officer

  The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will provide leadership, oversight and mentorship to the financial planning, accounting, financial operations and purchasing teams of Fulbright University Vietnam.

  As a senior member of the executive team, the CFO will focus on establishing a financial vision and facilitate the financial growth and development of Fulbright University Vietnam.

  The CFO will report directly to the COO and serve as the strategic leader for business and financial planning and analysis, accounting, internal controls, audit, asset management, annual and long-term budget processes, tax reporting, and grant management.

  The Chief of Staff is a key member of the Provost’s Council and works closely with the Provost on a wide variety of strategic, executive and administrative duties, special projects, and initiatives involving the Provost’s Office and its priorities. • Director of Office of Sponsored Programs

  The Director of Office of Sponsored Programs manages activities related to the full lifecycle of sponsored program administration including but not limited to identification of funding sources, proposal submission, and contract negotiation (both financial and non-financial) in the areas of funding provided in the form of grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts from external/internal funding sources (e.g., federal agencies, state agencies, private companies, or foundations). These grants are intended to provide support for research, curriculum development, outreach, and/or service work.

  The Director will report to the Provost of Fulbright University Vietnam and will work closely with the COO and Finance Team.

• Associate Director of Professional Education, CEI

  The Associate Director of Professional Education will serve as a key member of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation’s leadership team and works closely with the Director of the CEI to build Fulbright University Vietnam’s local and regional professional training initiative.

  The Associate Director will help establish and support the strategic and operational priorities of CEI’s professional education and training program. The Assistant Director will undertake a variety of activities as the CEI launches and delivers executive education and workforce development programs, which include short-course certificate programs in leadership, management, and more.

• Senior Operations Associate, CEI

• Future of Work Architect

  The Future of Work Architect has a unique opportunity to shape the lives of our students by developing a collaborative ecosystem between higher education and industry, building a highly skilled workforce ready for the future.

  This will happen through the training of students with timeless and timely skills and then tracking what students are learning.
